Monozukuri is an Italian excellence in the field of microelectronics, operating in a highly competitive market alongside some of the world’s largest high-tech companies.
The challenge was to define Monozukuri’s visual identity through film, creating a series of focused pieces of content that could tell its story, communicate its values and highlight what sets the brand apart from its competitors.

The films introducing the company and its two business units were built around the idea of analogy. Concepts and values are explained through visual associations and connections, elevating the storytelling and giving greater presence and distinction to the brands.
Each film in the series shares the same storytelling approach and visual language, while focusing on a specific aspect of the company. The idea was therefore to create a “visual container” capable of hosting different types of content while keeping the series coherent — from promos and tutorials to short films.

The design was shaped by the brand architecture: the company, its business units and its products are each associated with specific colours and visual elements.
Each film therefore has its own dedicated palette, tailored to the context it explores. The visual language is built around simple shapes that echo the high-tech world, while avoiding the cold and sterile aesthetic often associated with it.

Each film was developed primarily in Adobe After Effects, with additional techniques introduced according to the needs of each story and visual approach. These included digital 2D cel animation created in Toon Boom Harmony, as well as CGI elements developed in Blender.
All layouts and scenes were designed from scratch in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

The films found a wide range of applications across the brand’s communication. The brand films were featured on the company’s website homepage, used as opening pieces for conferences and presentations, and promoted through LinkedIn campaigns.
The product tutorials became a valuable and direct tool for communicating with the brand’s users, as well as playing a central role in workshops organized by the company.
